Continuing my previous post where I ended at the top of the Willis Tower in Visiting the City of Chicago, this entry focuses on each of these locations. It had been over two decades since I visited the Museum and about six years for the Shedd Aquarium. Being back in these locations, especially Griffin MSI, felt familiar and also brand new at the same time, and a little surreal.

One of the more fascinating—though undeniably unsettling—exhibits I wish I’d had more time to photograph was the human anatomy display, where real human bodies were preserved and sliced in half to reveal what we were probably never meant to witness.

Making our way back towards the Griffin’s new Henry Crown Space Center, I was able to capture clear images of the SpaceX Dragon Spacecraft.
On Sunday, the day we planned on heading home, we took full advantage of the humid weather and early morning to get a head start at Chicago’s Shedd Aquarium, which soon filled up to there being more people than should have been there! Seems like we all had the same idea. Similar to the marine life from my recent post, visiting the Toledo Zoo, these are my favorite underwater images I was able to capture, except for a couple shots of penguins I got at the end of our visit.
