On Saturday, April 23 I broke out my camera and met up with over a dozen other members of the Detroit Photo Walk, with organizers Gerard “G” (Tantrumfury) and Jordan Eckman (eckshoots), at Joseph Campau Ave in Hamtramck, MI. It felt great meeting up with people again. I met some new members, like KaushiK sur, Jeremiah Jones, Clint Downer, and Carson.
I brought my 70-200 lens and used it exclusively on this walk. I just tried to have fun and not take it too seriously. Prior to this photo walk I hadn’t taken a picture in over a year. The most I took were on my cell phone and I’ve yet to really publish anything. On this walk I got a lot of really good shots, and I’m happy to say shooting with my actual camera felt great as I was able to get different compositions on foot.

I like the randomness to this image where a guy driving his car waves to me while behind him stands a man looking towards the sky. I played around with the sky replacement options and used some dodge and burn to get an overall deeper look at something taken on an overcast day.
