Sky in Negative Space as one continuation

It feels good to bring this series to a more complete level. Originally I planned for four of these pictures but now I have six. The first two versions of these images were introduced early this year and haven’t done much. The concept of this series is dualism, again, because it contains both the macro and micro; foreground and background, above and below. It’s been a challenge getting away from realism and detail but I like the direction this series took, with a more graphic quality. This is the first series I’ve ever completed that I’ll be preferring a matte finish to when printed. There is something great about the rough materialistic feel of paper, and the ink blends so well between the sky above and the night sky below.
